How..I need some band advice?

Well my best guy-friend(dt)said we should get to gether for the talent show next year, so we got my bud who’s learnin guitar and hates our music, and my friend who is soso with music but she’s got the spirit. Well DT and I got all serious and started writting songs like crazy, some grunge some punk. So what im trying to say is how do I tell them we want to play with other people, without them gettin all mad?
