How does standing in the cold help you burn calories?

How dose standing in cold help burn calories?

Answer #1

You burn calories by doing any kind of activities, including sleeping. I suppose standing in the cold helps you burn more calories because you tend to fidget a lot. I wouldn’t try to lose weight by doing that, though.

Answer #2

Shivering does burn calories. Not a lot; perhaps a few hundred calories/hour. Most people would rather exercise than try to burn calories this way.

Answer #3

drinking ice cold fluids helps to burn calories because you have to work to get the fluid to a “decent” temp. once iyour mouth. Not many calories but ore than what you would if you were to drink something room temp.. I actually found that on a medical website. As far as standing in the cold..IDK.

Answer #4

It doesn’t really One thing you should never do is eat alot of food and then go to sleep. After you eat food wait 1 hour and then run around, swim, walk, skip, ect.
