I think I got my period … I’m not shore how to tell my mom I don’t know how she going to react so how should I tell her…

Answer #1

when I started I told my mom over the phone because she was at work. its really not a big deal. you might be nervous. but you have to tell her sometime. its a naturaul thing. dont stress. she might talk to u, and it will feel awkward, but dont worry. it will be a natural thing for you two to talk about.

Answer #2

you shouldnt be afraid to tell your mother you got your period.. its somethin that every girl goes through .. so just if you are afraid tell her when you think its the right time .. you shouldnt be afraid because your mother is a girl as well she should understand how you are feeling ..

Answer #4

this isn’t how I told my mom, but I think it’s a good suggestion for how to tell her. if you have a friend’s mom who you really like and trust and it’s less awkward to tell, then arrange to go over to that friends house and then while you’re there, go to the bathroom and when you come out, tell your friends mom that you got it for the first time and ask for pads and stuff. ask her if she’ll call your mom to tell her personally, I told my mom because I have no problems talking about that stuff with her, but I understand that some people are not so feel no pressure to tell her face to face!!

Hope this helps:

Tell your Mom Upfront and in Person - Get your mom alone. It could be while she’s folding the laundry or putting earrings in. Try not to do it when she’s trying a new recipe or attempting to get your screaming little brother in the car. Pick a time when she’s calm and relaxed. Tell her that you have important news to share with her. Say, “Mom, I got my period” and smile to let her know you’re happy by the news. Most moms will be calm and congratulate you! If, for some reason your mom isn’t there, tell your dad. Most dads know all about it, so don’t hold things back just because he’s a guy! Write a Note - Leave your mom a note. It can read something like, “Mom, today I got my period!! Maybe we can get supplies at the drugstore later? I love you.” or Put the note somewhere she (and only she) can find it. A good place would be in her makeup drawer or under her pillow. Send a Text Message - If you have a cellphone with text messaging capabilities, and your mom is out, you could send her a text message such as “I got my period. Could you please bring home some pads or tampons? Thanks. I love you.”

Take care !!

Sweetie, getting your period is a good, normal thing. I don’t know what your situation is with your mother, everyone’s is different. If you honestly feel like you cannot talk to her, go to another trusted adult. Maybe a teacher, school nurse, or aunt can help.
