How do I know if I should date someone?

“T” has been my best friend for 7 years, and he’s always been interested romantically in me but I never was. In the past couple of months my desire to always be around him is intense. I love spending time with him and being with him but I’m not physically attracted to him, should I still date him and assume the physical attraction will come later? Because I don’t want to mess up our friendship if I lead him on with what I thought I wanted.

You’ll know when the time comes. You’ll just know it. If you like someone, give them hints and when you are about 90% sure they like you back, then go for it! Ask them out. :)
