How do I know if I have a yeast infection ?

I am itchy And have a lot of white-is discharge ? What could this mean ?

If you are sexually active you should see a doctor, but it seems like a yeast infection. There are over the counter test strips that can help you determine if it is a yeast infection. They are expensive though ~$35.99.

If your doctor says it is a yeast infection, then next time drink cranberry juice to prevent another occurence, there is even cranberry pills over the counter.

That very well could be a yeast infection, so you have two options:

  1. You could go to the pharmacy and get some Monistat (use the cream - the capsules are useless). Using the cream if you don’t have a yeast infection won’t make it worse, but it also won’t help if it’s something other than a yeast infection (like an STD).

  2. You can make a doctor’s appointment and suffer it out until you see him (which could be a week or so).
