How do I get Manic Panic Vampire Red out of my hair?

My hair is naturally brown and I bleech it, then dyed it Vampire red. I’ve had it for a month and really like it but now its starting to fade to orange. Any tips on how to get it out so I can dye it back dark brown??

Answer #1

Best and fastest thing to do is dye it back to brown. Though you might need to ask a beauty salon what color to pick up at the drugstore. You could also keep washing it with a strong cheap shampoo, like everyday, until the color comes out.

Answer #2

I agree with dying it brown. That would be the fastest way. Or wash it everyday with Head and Shoulders. Maybe you will have to op for a beauty salon to dye it back to your natural color, or at least they can tell you what color to pick up at the drugstore.

Answer #3

the colour may not be brown because of the red so youll want to lighten/fade as much of the red as possible first to avoid getting a red-brown colour when you dye it other that that any home dye kit from a supermarket will do, do a patch test first though

Answer #4

red is the hardest colour to keep because it does fade quickly you probably wont be able to get it all out without having to bleach some but shampoo thats not designed for colour treated hair, like head and shoulders even, will fade hair really quickly just lather it in and when you rinse it out it takes a lot of the colour right off

Answer #5
