How do I divide?
How do I divide 1/4 by 4? Is for a school paper due tomorrow. Please help
Turn it into a decimal and the divide. 1 divided by 4 = 0.25 ( turning 1/4 into a decimal ) 0.25 divided by 4 = 0.0625 ( dividing by 4 )
or cross multiply which is going to be 1/16
Then its 1/16
since you cant divide a fraction by a whole number you need to change the whole number into a fraction, so you take the whole number and put it over one. 4/1
Flip the 4/1 to 1/4 and multiply. so its 1/4 X 1/4
1 x 1 is 1 4 x 4 is 16 So its 1 over 16 ( 1/16 )
but the instructions say that I cant change them into a decimal
1/4 is 0.25…so if you divide 1/4 by 4..that will be 0.0425 + 0.0425+ 0.0425 + 0.0425= 0.25
