Divide decimal by whole number?

how do you divide a decimal by a whole # thx:)

You have to make them both whole numbers

Example

10 divided by 2.5

Move the decimal in 2.5 right to make it 25. If you move the decimal there you have to move the decimal in the whole number as well (just because you don’t see it doesn’t mean it isn’t there). The decimal in 10 is at the end: 10.0. So 10.0 becomes 100

100 divided by 25 = 4
