How can I use spells if I am Christian?

Sorry about the ‘how’ at the beginning of the title. I am Christian, so am I allowed to try out spells? I would only like to try it, but I am afraid God would punish me. Please help.

Answer #1

Well, really it all depends on personal beliefs. I do believe it goes against the Christian religion. Do I think God is going to punish you? No. So, what really matters is how you feel and what you believe, but if you are going to have infinite guilt. I suggest not doing it.

Answer #2

God is totally gonna punish you for using spells. No one is going to help you, lmao.

Answer #3

Well in the old days witchcraft was considered a sign of the devil and if you practised witchcraft you were working with the devil … So what do you think ?? Its all aload of nonsence anyway if you ask me … Xo:)

  1. You shall have no other gods before me. That is the first commandment, if you think about it God would not let you do magic, humans are imperfect, imagine how much damage you could do if you were magic. If God did not let you have it then some other force would. Believing that God would give you magic is blasphemy, believing that someone other than God would give you magic is believing in other God’s which would be a massive sin.
Answer #5

Depends on who you are asking your spells of. There are “dark” spells that you “pray” to dark or evil forced (ie: the devil) and then there are some you say to God.

I dont know if any work.

Answer #6

Witch craft doesn’t exist so you have no need to worry anyhow. The Salem witch trials were not cause by magic of any sort, but were cause by religious zealots and egot poisoning from a fungi called claviceps. Claviceps infects rye, which was used to make bread back then (still is but there are precautions against contamination now). Anyhow, ergot poisoning results in halucinations and gangrine. The religious ferver coupled with just about everyone halucinating and having other health issues due to gangrine is what cause the uproar about witchcraft.

Spells do not do anything other than what might occur due to placebo effect. This has been proven.

Anyway, I don’t believe in hell either. A God that would punish imperfect beings for being imperfect is a pretty cruel and unjust God. And even if there was a hell, avoiding bad things for the sole purpose of avoiding hell, is essentially trying to bribe God. People should do good things for the sake of humanity and the world, not to save their sole.

Answer #7

There are no gods and spells don’t work anyway. But if you want to try it, go ahead. No god will punish you…although your parents might.

Answer #8

I wont neccessarily say that God will punish you for trying spells, He is just trying to protect you. however the Bible says that Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God.. Leviticus 19:31

so anything that has to do with magic will serve you well to avoid becasue there are consequences to every action. You will have to pay satan a price for using his merchandise.

Answer #9

There may be a miscommunication here :) If you are a believer of Jesus Christ, the bible says He rose from the grave, and is seated at the right hand of the Father, and He interceeds on our behalf… We are also told to ask in Jesus name, and it will be given unto you (if it is in line with Gods will) … We are also told after Jesus rose to the Father, the Holy Spirit will come, to lead us into all truth… we are also told about Angels that are here, waiting to help us… what I think we may have here, according to your question, is that if you are a believer in Jesus, that his death was a sacrifice for your sin, that in believing He is your savior, you are adopted by God,, You may need to understand about prayer. Your God given right to call on your Father for help. You might need to ask the Holy Spirit to help you understand what Gods plan for being a part of your life is. But,,, you’ll only find answers from the scriptures. You cant mix what this religion, and that person believes, you need to read a bible, and ask God to help you understand His ways.

It is all about what you believe. Do you believe that you will be punished? and what kind of spells? Im a wiccan and I do plenty of spells for good health, happiness, protection, etc. There are tons. And really, do you think that your god will punish you for doing a spell for good health or happiness? It is then that you must think, what is a spell? A spell is just a moment at which you direct your energy into an outcome. Hate to break it to the christians who have answered so far but when you pray, thats like a spell. You are directing your attention and energy towards an outcome. The witchcraft I and fellow wiccans practice and your prayers are not so different at all. But in the end it is always up to you on wether or not you try it. now, on note of the spell. If you do a spell, please make it a good one like happiness, nothing stupid like turning people into frogs. And the key for anything to work is to believe in it. If you try a spell, totally afraid of being punished to the point where you are actually hoping it doesnt work, it wont. You need to be not afraid, or it wont work. So really, I dont know if you should do it or not. Are you going to be too afraid to focus? My overall advice, give it some thought. I can promise though, that the witchcraft I practice is not evil, horrible, or worth punishment. So, think about wether or not you CAN do it. You cant enter a spell with so much fear or uncertainty. So if it is against your PERSONAL beliefs, not necessarily your whole religious communities beliefs, but yours alone, dont do it.

Ok if your a Christian Then You Must read and know about the bible right? Oh Probably not because you want to be involved in something that god hates. In Revelation 21:8 it says “ But as for the Cowards and those wothout faith snd those who are disgusting in ther filth and murderders and fornicators and those practicing SPIRITISM and idolaters and all liars their portion will be in the lake thast burns with fire and sulphur. This means the second death. Spiritism is all that has to do with fortune telling, tarrot cards,SPELLS,whichcraft, etc all that is spiritism god Condemns people who do that.

Chirtsians generally believe that God is forgiving and understanding. You may not have the best understanding of God if you think he’ll be damning you to hell for being a curious human being…who he made to be that way!

Answer #14

lordmartinofhampshire Witches today actually don’t believe in Satan…so how do we believe a lie from an entity in which we don’t believe in? I find more happiness and fullfilment in life now as a Wiccan and witch than most Christians I know. And all of the Wiccans I know are more caring and helpful than most people.

Answer #15

If you try spells then you live for the divel and you can only live for one either GOD or the satan so that is your choice who you want to serve the Bible tells you that.

To gaia you say that witches today don’t belive in satan you may think that you don’t belive in satan but satan belives in you because he is in you and there for he tries to keep you as happy as possiable so he wont lose you as one of his whether you belive it or not you are bound by satan. And for the more caring and being more helpful then other people will maybe you’ve heard the saying you can atrack more flies with honey then with vinegar and that is how satan works o and by the way you can learn all about satan and how he works in the Bible.

Answer #16

It all boils down to what your aiming at. If you are only aiming at living this life out in a way that you think is the most pleasurable then you can do anything be it using magic spells or something else. If you believe an aim at spending eternity with God in heaven the you would be interested in finding out what the truth is.

Answer #17

margie So satan…is inside me…XD sry I have a crude sense of humor but wow I never noticed he had entered…

anyway, I dont need to read the bible to learn how christians believe satan works and who he is because I’ve already read it. Unlike some, I educate myself on other beliefs.

Answer #18

Christians are not allowed to try spells. That is like having a false idol in witch craft and the first commandment clearly says: “Thou shall not have any other gods before me”. So trying out spells is like working with the devil. You might want to go read your Bible.

Answer #19

Exodus 22:18 Do not allow a sorceress to live.

Isaiah 1:2 Hear, O heavens! Listen, O earth! For the Lord has spoken: “I reared children and brought them up, but they have rebelled against me

Deuteronomy 18:10-11 Let no one be found among you who sacrifices his son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, 11 or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead.

Ezekiel 13:18-20 and say, ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Woe to the women who sew magic charms on all their wrists and make veils of various lengths for their heads in order to ensnare people. Will you ensnare the lives of my people but preserve your own? 19 You have profaned me among my people for a few handfuls of barley and scraps of bread. By lying to my people, who listen to lies, you have killed those who should not have died and have spared those who should not live. “ ‘Therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says: I am against your magic charms with which you ensnare people like birds and I will tear them from your arms; I will set free the people that you ensnare like birds.
