How can I make friends in college?

I am shy and because of that most people think I am a snob…how can I break out of my shell and get to know new people and friends in college?

Ahh yes, I hear ya. I have been in your place and the best thing you can do is be more outgoing. Join study groups that way others will see you as a team member working toward the same goals. Go to sports events. Get involved with other clubs and such at college. You will get noticed more if you are funny. God bless

Just start bye saying HI to some peple then gradually grow from there! Trust me it does work, because I had to do the same thing at the place I work!

maybe join a club or something (depending what your major is most colleges have clubs for each school ex biology club/ business/ art/ history or whatever)… go to school functions like sporting events … also join study groups in your classes you can kill 2 birds with one stone this way.. meet new friends and study for your classes! :) good luck and hoped this helped

I’m the same way. Just look for the right chances to start a conversation with someone. Usually I make friends by asking them a question if I’m un-sure of something.
