how can I convince my mom to let me get a piercing now??

Parents are so irresponsible to let their little teenagers get all these piercings. You don’t need piercings and things of the sort to express yourself. It’s not like people care about others expressing themselves anyway - who are you trying to impress?

I guess it is a form of self mutilation, I mean ears is obv ok because its a girly thing t do, even babies get them done, but anyway, look im 15 and just because you see a 14 yr old walking around with metal sticking out of their bodies doesnt mean its cool I mean comn, whats the point of getting a peircing really? oh im a big bad girl? im emo? im goth? im slutty? cmon these are the main categories when people get peircings, and you calling doing what every did a thousand times over expressing yourself? or originality?? if you want to d something to express yourself how about you do soemthing original. get a canvas and some paints and see what you come up with, that way you wont have holes all over your body when your a mom looking nasty, instead ull have a artistic picture that shows the real you.

ps - you can get major infections with peircings, anywhere on your body

im 14 also, I have my ear pierced, like on the bottom, and I might get snake bites. but ONLY if I get my math grades up by christmas lol. My dad said I could only get them for the math, but im prety sure im gonna get the grades up.

Also, you have to be 16 or have a parent with you if your gonna get a body piercing..plus my dad says “if you do get your piercings, remember your gonna have holes in your face for the rest of your life. do you really wanna have holes in your face when your 30?” but then, actually I dont really care about that haha

mybe you should ask her to come with you to a piercing place so you can both hear the risks and your mum will be able to ask a prof about what its all about. I have a few piercings and my mum was the same but when she was better informed she thought it was kinda cool. Good luck :)

what type of body pearcing? like I mean im 14 I have my ears pearced 2 times on the bottom, im asking for my lip but moms gunna say no, she said no about the tounge, but if she says no then im gunna have my professionals take care of it for me, its gunna hurt but its how I express myself!
