How can a felon in georgia get a job?

The system has let me down. Need info on what I can do to get a job with a prior felony conviction…did my time…paid for it and am currently looking for any job to support myself and being turned away by everyone.I am being honest and up front about my conviction and it is not getting me anywhere. I was 17 then…now 26 and trying to get some kind of job to support myself and become a part of society instead of being shunned by it.currently living in a shelter because of lack of job and continue looking on a daily basis,to no avail. I am tired of being treated like I am’’ waste’’. Yes I committed a crime…I got caught, I did my time,paid the price and continue to have to pay for it on a daily basis. Who can I get info. From or talk to for help ???

I know what you are going through. I have a dwi that was committed 26 years ago and it still hunts me. I got a bachelors in education and need a teaching job. some schools will not even look at my resume and treat me like some criminal. it was a dwi, for crying outloud. they need to take a better look at some of the people they hire with clean records. go to clean my record.com and see if they can help you.
