Homecoming: Fun or pointless?

Homecomming I a dance for Freshman on up in highschool for comming back to school. it is formal and a lot of money! now answer!!! :)

1. Why should I go if I dont have anybody to take or like anyone whose available. Waste of cash for me.

Takes money to have large amounts of fun no matter what you do.

2. Our school has a dress code for dances which doesnt let you express yourself at all. No low cut dresses or ANYTHING showing anything. Such as they have a really stupid “Collar bone” Rule for dresses they cant be below that or you cant enter for example.

Find a creative way around it, or dont be so pretentious where you actually care.

3. Some people go to “Find a date at the dance” But what happens if nothing happens or there is no one else there without a date? That wastes money also.

then have fun with friends or solo, not everything has to have a romantic element to it to have fun.

4. As far as I am concerned. If you want to dance that bad with someone go grab your boyfriend/girlfriend take them to your living room or something turn on your favorite music and dance for awile. Its cheaper by far and theres just as many memories. Plus you dont need to spend a few hundred dollars on a dress or tux.

Its not the same atmosphere or venue, you wont be able to say “yea, I went to homecoming, and I had fun!” although having your own homecoming with your friends at your place IS a unique creative fun idea.
