How can I lose weight on my lower half?

okay. im fourteen and I weigh 120. im also 5’7. people say that im at a really good weight for my height. but I dont think so. I just have hips and I hate them. and I hate my butt. I think its big. I just want to lose some weight on my lower half, any ideas?! helpp.

do exercises that work on your butt. What you need to do is form muscle there. You don’t need to lose weight, you need to tone. Run or jog a little more. Do some squats. That’ll fix it. But yes, you are at your average weight so don’t worry about that.

I think that’s a good weight, but if I just said this, it wouldn’t really be helping you. I would try to do some jogging around your neighborhood or run around a local track evry so often. Or, if you want better advice, ask your PE teachers on what you should do for excercise, after all, isn’t that what they’re there for?

5’7’’ and 120lbs? You are so skinny! 5’7’’ is tall. Honey, do you know what a BMI is? It stands for “Body Mass Index” A healthy BMI is between 18.5 and 24.9. Anyone with a BMI less than 18.5 is underweight. Yours is 18.8. Tyra Banks’ BMI is 23.5. Nicole Kidman’s is 16. You’re probably a size 5 or 7 right? Sometimes the mirror plays tricks on us. You are not fat. The scale is not what you should rely on. You need to rely on your BMI and being healthy. You are tall so for your age 120 seems like a lot. Your friends probably all weight around 100lbs right? I was the same way and I developed an eating disorder. Be careful. Just focus on being healthy.
