What's the cheapest way to get black out of my hair?

My hair is naturally dark brown (see the pic), and I dyed it black. I have senior pictures at the end of the month and would like to have my natural hair color back by then. I would like to know the cheapest and least time consuming way to do this. I can not afford to go to a salon until the last of the month, but that is when the pictures are going to be taken, so a salon is out of the question.

Hi, I also have dark natural hair. I also dyed it black , and for some reason, I was totally stuck with Black hair for about 2 years. I tryied dying it back to brown, but did not work.. I tried going to a very exspensive salon called Color Match, (or something like that ) and they tried to bleach the black out, and came out ORANGE ! this guy claimed to be a MASTER COLOR ARTIST, and claims he was in the hair business for 30 years, I luckily walked out very disapointed and saved $129, (thank god he did not charge me ) then I went to SERVERAL salons, and came across this school called AVADA SALON SCHOOL., here in las vegas, nv, but I know they are all over, or just go to a Avada salon, Anyways, they were the only ones that got the black out of my hair, they had every teacher and student checking out my hair, and all rounded up with advise and all came up with a solution with which cemical & formula to do, and now its back to brown, but, it took a couple of months to do the process, and a couple of hair cuts too…also, buy some “ Head & Shoulders” shampoo, (regular) and leave it in for like a 1/2 hour, rinse & repeat…that will wash the black out faster,,,also, call the 1-800 # on the back of the box and ask them ,,,thanks for reading and good luck,,,shelly

well.. when I dyed my hair black I couldn’t get the black out, it wouldn’t lighten up (even with the dye in the box) I had to end up going to the salon. they will either have to strip the color out of your hair and re dye it or just keep it black. I kept mine black. If you haven’t tried dying it lighter, then you might try that. but good luck.

Get a bleaching kit. You need to choose the right kind of one though or else it wont take the black out. First of all… when you go to buy one, MAKE SURE the kit says that it has bleach in it. The good ones for getting black out are usually about $12-$15. There is a brand called “Frost and glow” that works really good for it. Second of all… after you have all the dye in your hair, put a plastic bag over your hair and seal it with a clip or something. The heat NEEDS to be kept in so the bleach will work. Sometimes to make the process faster, you can blow dry your head while the plastic bag is on your hair. It know it sounds weird but it works, I took three hairstyling classes.

Answer #4

I wouldn’t try bleaching it… it will end up turning orange most likely.

Answer #5

why would you want to get black out of your hair you look fine with it.

Answer #6

The only proper way is to go to a salon and get it stripped out or whatever they call it…alternatively you’ll have to dye it blond then the colour that best suits your natural colour
