need help just incase the depression comes back

well back before school let out for summer I had been rele depressed abt my life ans stuff I strtd cutting myself and like keeping to myself a lot but I was always happy out-going funny and just me at school but I always dressed like in ae and rue 21 pac sun khols and stuff and when I went thru that time I wanted to go gothic all the way but I was scared of the way my friends would act and my social group that I was in at school I just need help just incase the depression comes back and I want to change? what shld I do?

Sweetie,

The best thing you can do for yourself is see a professional counsellor.They will hbe able to show you how to handle your depression, and find out why you’re so depressed. Always remember, you are not alone, and you don’t have to suffer depression alone.

Well crying is another way of letting it out. Maybe write down the reasons you’re upset on a piece of paper and then burn it? It’s like getting rid of what’s bothering you. I usually just listen to grunge or blues when im not feeling okay. Maybe that will work for you, careful it might just make it worse.

well see I have a notebook full of stuff when I was depressed and it all the stuff the way I felt and I strtd writing in it during class one day and all of a sudden I strtd crying but I cryed so no one wld know and it still hurts sometimes. :(

Well you just need to find other ways to vent then mutilating yourself. Get a piercing, maybe? Or try writing poetry. You can always talk to me if you need to. : )

well see its just that I have friends that said that she would kill her self if I continued doing it so I didnt do it. but it hurts cause I always get told I’m not good enough and everyone expects the most and exceedingly the best that I can do and its just too hrd to go on like that anymore.
