Who has heard anything about the rechargeable zinc-air batteries?

The main problems continuing to pose difficulties for designers:

(a) limited number of recharge cycles (currently limited to about 500 cycles);

(b) inability to charge rapidly; and

(c) susceptible to production of “dendrite” growths that can short circuit the plates.
