What did you use to heal your tattoo?

I’ve used aquaphor on all my tattoos and they’ve turned out find no color fading or anything but the last place I got a tattoo at said to use Bagbalm which i’ve never heard of.

Answer #1

Bagbalm seems to be the thing to have.. running at about a little over $8 at drugstores. Contains no alcohol? Cool.

Answer #2

My dad used Tattoo Goo, I believe.

Answer #3

Ive used A&D ointment on all of mine and its worked great, healed them fast, and the color still hasnt faded in mine in over 7 years since the first one.

Answer #4

Aveeno. Only aveeno. They say ointments trap bacteria, cause blisters, and suffocate healthy skin growth. Truth be told, you can use just about anything to keep it moist as long as you keep it very clean with a good scent-free antibacterial soap. But you have to make sure your skin can breathe. That being said, I know plenty of tattoo artists that recomment a&d ointment, but a VERY small amt. All artists give you different aftercare it seems like. And every artist will tell you horror stories of why everything else is bad to use. =\ but as long as you keep it clean, keep it moist, and don’t drown it, you should be just fine.

Answer #5

A&D ointment is what people around here use…it works good.
