Yes this could very well be your start of women hood, congrads :) . Well your going to want to mark down the day you started so you know when your next time for your period. And yes not every one starts off with a heavy flow like ichibanarky said. Tell your mother and get her to buy some pads or tampons incase the flow gets heavy. Not everyone starts with a heavy flow…some just spot the first few times.
yes becuase in january when I started mine was only little and lasted 2 days.
