Is the term "get happy" grammatically correct?

Answer #1

I’m not sure,but I think it’s one of those American frazes.I might be wrong,though.

Answer #2

I think it would be, ‘be happy’ ex. ‘in order to BE happy’ instead of ‘in order to GET happy’. Get happy is something that teenagers say, like ‘wow I’m so bummed…’ ‘well GET HAPPY Kate, we’re going out with the guys tonight!”

Answer #3

yes i think so

Answer #4

. It is when Snow White says it to the other six dwarfs. .

Answer #5

In that context, “get” is just another word for “become”. So sure, it’s grammatically correct, get happy, don’t get angry, don’t get too loud, etc. It just won’t win you any literary awards.
