Hanging out with new people...How??

ok, I’ve had basically the same group of friends since grade school. now I’m in grade ten, and I really dont want 2 hang around them any more. they’re starting to seem really immature and in general just not the kind of people I want to hang out with. but how do I suddenly start hanging out with different people?? I cant just walk up and say “can I hang out with you?” can I? plus now people think that I’m like my friends, which I’m not, im a lot different. but im kinda stuck.

Breaking bonds between old friends and forming new ones is hard, but not impossible. You have to open up to new people. Once you’ve learned how to let go, show some new classmates your true identity by talking and joking around with them in class. You’ll be sure to make new friends this way, and once you do, you’ll feel comfortable asking them to hang out.

Answer #2

Try joining a club at school next year, or maybe some sort of parks and recreation thing during the summer. and then what you do is not tell your friends you have now, and gradually drift away from them.

Answer #3

get to know new people, start talking to other people in your lessons amd let them get to know you and know that you’re not as immature as your other friends, but don’t disconnect yourself from your other friends as you will regret it later on!
