Why does my hair get gross if I let it air dry, but it's fine when I blowdry it?

Answer #1

Do you use products on your hair? it’s possible they dont end up drying correctly when you let it air dry. Also when you blow dry your hair it lays the cuticles down flat so your hair appears more shiney and flat. I personally never blow dry my hair and my hair looks perfectly fine.

Answer #2

no I dont put products in there.:/

Answer #3

Like I said it could also be the fact blow drying lays down your cuticles which creates the apperance of soft shiney hair.

Answer #4

i know this probably doesn’t answer your question i have an idea for you if you are worried about heat damage and stuff. well for starters my hairs gets the same way i think it depends on the texure of hair and length etc don’t quote me. when i’m lazy and don’t feel like blow drying it, i let it air dry almost completely then i just take the blow dryer and blow dry the kinks and stuff out and get the dampness out then i straighten it.

Answer #5

When you mean gross do you mean elastic feeling?

Answer #6

Probably because blowdryers dry out your hair. It can make oily hair look better simply by heating the moisture away
