Why does my hair keep getting dark after I bleach it?

ive bleached and toned it twice in the past two weeks, its not damaged or anything but last week it was really blond and pretty and not brassy and now its orangey and yellowy again! should i be using toning shampoo? its pissing me off that it wont stay a whiter blond

Answer #1

do you have naturally dark hair? if so that is why. Your hair is just so dark that after a little while it just seeps through the dye.

Answer #2

i have naturally red hair alittle lighter then the color in my picture.

Answer #3

well that is probably why! do you get it professionally done?

Answer #4

yea last week when i got it done, a second time it was really platinum and nows its yellowy and fugly

Answer #5

your dark hair just dosnt color too well. :/ there isnt really a way to fix it.

Answer #6

well my cousins have almost black hair and they get their hair really light alot of the time..when they dye their hair its pretty blonde..and i know of people that have dark hair and they still have blonde..so i dont know what could be your problem

Answer #7

i know, its so weird because i bleached it then toned it not just dyed it with blond dye youd think since it takes all the pigment out of your hair it wouldnt turn that way…

Answer #8

yeah it is indeed strange..im not sure what you can do..but ill look into that for you..its making me curious also..haha..lol..and i also have a friend with red/burgondy hair and its her natural color..she has had blonde highlights..lol..and they turned out and its still blond through it..so i dont know what to think..

Answer #9

with each wash it rinses out more color..thats why it is a temp color as oposed to like a bleach blonde..bleach would be perm..color..

Answer #10

it is bleached….i used actual bleach on my hair..

Answer #11

maybe its just all in my mind haah but seriously a couple days after bleaching it it turns a darker blonde thats more brassy

Answer #12

not true..when using a bleach (not store bought color) the process to get the hair to the platnum blonde has 7 red stages to go through before the finalc olor of blonde is achieved. if you are not allowing for the 7 stages to run thier course i can see how the hair would drop a shade days later..but even though now you know, it is best to wait at least three weeks before re-bleaching.
