it really depends on the persons hair. on average hair grows about 11cm a year. if your hair is dry and dead you need to get a trim every 2 months. you also need to buy some conditioning products for your hair. there is no way to make your hair grow faster, you just need to follow my advice and wait. I heard that the more you brush your hair, the faster it grows. thats what I do. and mine is growing fairly fast.
