My golden retriever is having her pups any day now. How many days can she be late having them?

What do you mean how late? Days? She can carry them up to 65 days, but she will have them. Have you been taking her temp rectally? She should be having a temp of 100.4-8.to 101., You should take this twice a day. Use KY Jelly on Vaseline on the end of the thermometer, be polite.

Her temp will drop to 2 degrees when she is 8 to 12 hours to whelping. I always know when she does not eat that day that she is going to whelp within 12 hours.

The problem with counting days is not being sure which day she actually took. This day can vary somewhat the number of days to whelping. Say you know she tied day 1 and 3 and 5 So which day did she actually take? Also if you own your male was there a secret tie;)

I always know when she refuses food and the temp drops to 99 - 98. If the temp is down but she is eating it is a fluke.
