god..

does anyone really believe in god?? I think its just a huge brainwashing group. what do you think

Answer #1

I believe in and know there is a God - He sent His son, Jesus Christ to die on a cross for me, covering my sins - to be remembered ‘no more’ - He lives in my heart (the Holy Spirit) and He directs my paths.

Answer #2

The only brains that have been washed, are the ones that are flooded with doubt and unbelief.

the believers have been washed alright… with the blood of the lamb.

Answer #3

*danielle I respect people like you

*poli That’s why I’m not Christian, I read the bible, it’s a bunch of BS Have you actually read the bible, cover to cover? Do you even grasp half of what it’s saying? notice the ones most knowledgeable of the bible aren’t believers in it, why is that?

Answer #4

Thanks LIL EMO. appreciate it. I believe that everyone has a choice to believe what they believe and they shouldnt be forced to what they dont want to do. and I have family members and friends that arent christians but I dont “beat them in the head with the bible” when it comes to their faith. but I do believe in praying for them 2 get saved.

Answer #5

Many people have doubts, but are hopeful…hope is not the same as denial.

.I’m not sure that’s true in Europe anymore

If Europe continues it’s open door policy on Muslum immigration, they will have more regligious zealots than they will know what do with…

Answer #6

Everyone has a right to their belief, and you should not judge people for their faith.

I don’t believe in God, but most people I know do, and I respect them as they respect me in turn.

Everybody needs something in their life to make them feel complete, and if that one thing happens to be God, than that is the result of self-survival, not brainwashing.

Answer #7

I sure do! and I believe that he’s created me for a purpose too, and I’m free to live my life cause he lay his life for me! eventhough I may not know all the facts about christanity, I feel his prescence dwell in me and I feel that God is always there when ever I need him.

Answer #8

danielleclarke24 I think that has to be the smartest answer I’ve heard and I really respect that you are OK with people who don’t believe on God. It’s mostly the ones that try relentlessly to convert you to be Christian or Catholic that make me angry.

Answer #9

I believe in God. I know He hasn’t given up on me…which is a miracle within itself (lol..) Lame joking aside, everyone’s entitled to their beliefs.

Answer #10

I think a lot of people belive in god and other beings. its you oppinion that matters if you belive something and your devoted then thats all that matters. dont let people change your mind unless you really belive something.

Answer #11

I believe in God, I just don’t like the church. To me they are too into it and don’t stop to think about things before they act. And I don’t like things that they say like, ‘If you don’t believe, god will punish you and we will be saved.’ and ‘There is no afterlife for animals, they are just there.’

Answer #12

thex13thxchild I am a christian but I would never force people to believe in what I do. I can pray for people but I believe that other christians shouldnt make unbelievers feel bad. No1’s perfect and I dont think people should be like ooo look what she/he did. christians are no better than unbelievers. I heard an evangelist say, “ Christians are sinners saved by Grace.” That means that christians still mess up, we still do wrong but we have Jesus to fall back upon when we do.

Answer #13

thex13thxchild … the Bible is a great book that God breathed his words into, even though it was written down by man. Kinda complicated. I havent read the Bible cover-2-cover, yet. but there is comfort and wisdom to help you through everyday life. You can believe it all or reject it all. no inbetween. but that is a choice you have to make for yourself. oh and thanks for the compliment… :)

Answer #14

I don’t believe in any gods. In the US, most people do…I’m not sure that’s true in Europe anymore.

Regardless, yes, the belief in god(s) is effectively a form of brainwashing for most believers. Most were raised that way, and even if they question it, for most, that patterns they were conditioned with prevail over time. It’s very effective too. The enlightenment was what…300 years ago…and still the god beliefs persist. Humans are amazingly stupid for all our technology.

Answer #15

“If Europe continues it’s open door policy on Muslum immigration, they will have more regligious zealots than they will know what do with…”

Are you suggesting there is a problem with Muslims wanting to, and being allowed to immigrate to europe, or anywhere for that matter? And are you suggesting that there are more muslim zealots than there are in other religions?

Maybe muslims are moving there to get away from the zealots.

Answer #16

YEES!!!(agreeing with what yuo said) I believe the bible is nothing more than a brainwashing device, think of it, how can anyone with any brains believe in it! Notice the ones who know most about the bible step out of any biblical religion they’re in smashes head on key board

Daniellclark perhaps you’re one of the people? Every church I went to is the same. Hardly give thought into what they say, they just blurt out random things “praise the lord” “amen” “bow down” “amen” “kneel to all his glory” “amen” “you guys are idoits” “ame…wha” “The devil, the devil & all his followers are evil idiots” “amen” bla bla bla, blady blah bladyeo people just quoting from the bible, preaching about the bible, most hardly grasping what it even reads, & then condemning pl who stand out, using them as examples & such, it’s pointless.

Answer #17

no I dont believe in god. I mean, its not a bad thing rite? I just really cant tell my fam because theyd get mad and like think im possessedr something. I mean my reasoning is that god is supposed to help you through stuff or give you an opportunity to help yourself, rite? thats never been the case for me. I’ve always had to do things on my own in life through my whopping 13 years (lol) I know thats not a long time but still. I think that if there was a god then he wouldve helped with something like he supposedly does. thats just my opinion…

Answer #18

I believe in God. and I like church. LIL EMO I just think you went to a bad church or sumthing cause my church is very loving. It isn’t brainwashing. Its just believing in God. People cant force people to believe, obey, and serve God. Its just another belief like I believe abortion is wrong. its just something you have faith in and you accept and agree with God’s teachings and commands. God does have rules but only you can choose to accept to follow them or not. I hoped I helped.

Answer #26

Answer #27

“Humans are amazingly stupid for all our technology.”

Toadaly, I don’t think it is stupidity as much as it is denial. While most people are raised in a particular faith, I think if most were to really take a logical look at their beliefs, they would have to admit it doesn’t seem feasable with what we know about the world today. That is why, although there is a huge majority of people who say they believe in god, most of them do not attend any regular service and do not truly practice any faith. Catholics would call them A&P catholics, for ashes and palms. In other words, they only go for big events, like xmas, easter and ash wednesday a palm sunday. While these people say they believe, it is not a very well thought out or even a strong belief. It is just something they have always done, and it feels comfortable. I think when some people do look closely at it, and actually admit they have doubts, they will resign themselves to the fact it is hogwash. Either that or they fall into a different level of denial and become complete zealot, like some on here.
