First time using a tampon, terrified!!

This is really embaressing, but im 18 still a virgin, nothings really been up there… but im soo terrified of loosing my virginity and to use a tampon. It hurts so much, I cant even get it all the way up because im such a woos. I’ve tried doing it about 10 times now I just keep chickening out. Theres something wrong with me, I shouldnt be so terrified im 18!! Please help me?

I think you’re doing it wrong. I was like that too and once I understood, it was extremely easy. And once its up there you wont feel it.

When you are all nervous and tense then your body reacts and you will get ‘tight’ as your mind is telling your body to stop anything going in there. You need to relax. Nothing bad is going happen. Its very easy and once you get used to it you wont even think about it. You can’t feel it once its in there and it cant get stuck or ‘lost’ inside you. use lubricant if it helps and try applicator tampons where you don’t have to actually touch yourself with your fingers. Using a tampon doesnt take away your virginity.
