Does anyone else find it frustrating trying to find a decent job?

Answer #1

No. not really

Answer #2

In these trying times, many consider it a blessing just to have a job, period … having a good job is a rare gift.

Answer #3

Alot of ppl have this strugle, i currently dont im still a student.

Answer #4

I don’t know what a ‘decent’ job entails lol, I work at Hot Topic and at a movie theatre, and I make enough money so I’m happy. But yeah apparently I heard that jobs are getting more and more scarce so maybe it is getting harder to find jobs xD idk.

Answer #5

I do, but only because I live in a small town to begin with. I’d gladly work at a crummy job if it means making money, but my town is so small that we dont even have a McDonalds here, lol.

I would take any job I can get at this time. I luckily have a good one for now, but any job is better than none.

Answer #6

no i dont and ill tell you why.

i have bricklaying, landscape gardening and pc certificates to my name.

someone always stuffs their pc up and people always want things doing in their garden especially now teh summer is coming.

so no, i dont find it hard to find a decent job.

Answer #7

There are more and more unemployed people trying to find jobs, making the job market incredibly flooded. That means for jobs that require a bit more qualification, the employers can shop around until they find just the right guy. That means people are wanting higher qualifications for jobs. Also with the companies not pulling in as much money they can’t afford to be training new people left and right for jobs that take some specialized skills.
So at this point a “decent job” IMO is any job that pays money. I would guess being 17 you are looking at minimum wage burger flipping jobs & basic retail. I doubt you are going to be able to show much experienced in any particular field to an employer, so they are not going to want to hire you for better paying jobs.

Answer #8

No, because I have a qualification which is pretty rare and therefore can pick and choose where I want to work if I have to.

Answer #9

I actually have high grades and qualifications already, the town i live in is very small though so there are less jobs and because i am staying on in education to better myself in the future i can only work part time…
