Who else is finding it difficut to get a waiting job right now?

I am at the point where I am trying to find a serving job in my area and I have applied at 30+ places in the past couple of weeks with no luck! I have 7 years of experience, good references, and I am very friendly and outgoing, but it doesn’t seem to be working. I have even made a resume to give to potential employers, which is not a must for the type of work I am trying to do, but I hope it will help me stand out. It’s never been this hard for me to obtain a restaurant job, but I guess it is a sign of the times… any advice that may help or anyone going through something similar?

I am going through something similar to what you are.. its just the economy right now..places arent hiring an the ones that are dont garrenttee you to be there long. along with minimum pay an no benefits..

I will agree that its just a very hard time right now..an im sure it will only get worse before it gets better..

just keep doing what your doing sounds to me like your on the right track. something should pop up very soon for you. if not there are other jobs that you could apply for like car dealerships.. I just applied at toyota as a reseptionist an already got called back from an interview.an that was just yesterday
