how fast can you die from a belly piercing infection ?

Sepsis can kill you. How long that takes is a whole other question. Here’s my question. Why would a reasonable person without some sort of mental disorder decide they wanted to go online to figure out how long a disease would take to kill them instead of going to the hospital to get a basic dose of antibiotics. Maybe it’s just that I’m not a teenager any more, but it seems really stupid.

ohh, uhmmm I cant reaally go to the hospital because I’m only 13. And, my dad doesnt care about me enough to take me to the doctors. I allredy told him and he didnt care .. Ive been putting salt water on it to help it.

Salt water will not cure an infection. Go see your school nurse.

uhm i don’t believe you will. i had a navel piercing infection and all I had to do was take it out for good. No death. don’t worry.

my infections accually reaaally bad at the moment. And, apprently i shouldnt take it out because the infection will spread easier when the hole is closed up. But heyy` idk

yeah no don’t take it out. Mine had to come out because it was literally ripping through to the surface of my skin. But what is wrong with it? what does it look like?

okaaay, its swollen, reaally red, and there loads of puss coming out of it. :/ and ive been vomitting from it and ive got this reaaaally sharp pain going down my stomach ..

yeah you need to see a doctor. If you delay going to see a doctor about it then you put yourself at risk of systemic infection that could require hospitalization. I would not be so worried about it if you weren’t vomiting but since you are, I would worry about it.
