factoring trinomials

ok I HATE math so I kinda of get factoring trinomials but I kinda dont either how would you factor b^2+8b-22

Answer #1

You probably miswrote the equation. (b^2+8b-22) ?? EITHER b^2 + 9b - 22 OR b^2 + 8b - 20 would work in both cases one value of b is +2, and the other value is negative (b-2)(b+?) FOLLOW THE LINK TY GAVE That’s as far as I will go since this site has a no-homework-problems rule. Good Luck!!

Answer #2

are you sure that’s the question? because that doesnt factor out with whole numbers…

you need to use the quadratic formula for that (you can find that here)… http://www.purplemath.com/modules/quadform.htm

and I dont have my calculator so I cant do both, but one of the b = 2.123

Answer #3

so your trying to find out what b is?

Answer #4
