What is prime and factor numbers?

Okay like I said in my other question I am preparing to do math all over. So anyone know prime factors?

A little more completely, the prime factors of 12 are 2 and 3, but you may be asked what is the “prime factorization” of a number. This means you need to note how many times each prime factor gets used. The prime factorization of 12 is not just 2 and 3, because 2x3=6, not 12. The “prime factorization” of 12 = 2x2x3. You have to show that there are two 2’s included, in order to show the difference between 12 and 6.
