my fiancee caught one from a creek and grilled it and eat it i was like eeewww

If they are the same as crawdad’s, we had those in Oregon a time or two. Delicious over a barbeque with some butter and garlic, pretty similar in taste / texture to a crab or other shell fish, though the ones I had were freshwater. Are crawfish saltwater?

Answer #3

Crawfish are fresh water…i believe that crawdads are the same thing…maybe just a different name in different places. Down here boil them in a huge pot with seasoning, potatos, garlic, corn, and sausage. Its rather messy eating them but fun.

Answer #4

It’s a big deal in the south…..crawfish feeds. I tried one up here, just to see what the big deal was. I think they must grow bigger down there, cuz you’d have to eat 1000 of them to make a meal…less than one bite per.

Crawfish boiled is one of my favorite foods! If you like lobster, they’re like mini lobsters. Just more work! Depends on your taste buds and if you love seafood.

Answer #6

i have had crayfish, is that the same thing? You get heaps of them over here. They are pretty good. I get them for free which makes them even better. The ones we get are saltwater ones.
