Dogs cut leg
My dog has a deep cut on his leg you can see the flesh underneath it is starting to smell and he cant put weight on it we are seeing a vet tommorow what can I do in the mean time
um… put a rag on it thats has warm water , try not to let anythang get into it or it will be infected . p.s hope your dog will be ok
Wrinse it out with warm water. Then flush it with antibacterial cleaner, the kind that’s used for cuts. Dry it off with a clean absorbant cloth. apply pressure with a new cloth once it’s dry until bleeding slows or stops. then wrap an ace bandage around it, or if you don’t have an ace bandage simply wrap a clean cloth around it. make sure it’s relatively tight. hope this helps =)
thankyou I am worried in case I make it worse he seems to have stopped licking it but still cant walk on it very sleepy looks in pain wont allow me to touch it
well its normal for him to lick it becuase it his nature to like it just as for us it is to put a bandage on it
