Dog Tummy Ache

I have a healthy lab 1/2 retreiver. I see him often eating grass outside and somtimes even dirt. Every now and then he’ll start gagging and then throw up. There really isn’t any food in his vomit just kinda mucusy. I gave him some camomile tea today and he took a knap but I’m still not sure if his tummy feels better. Is there anything I could give him regularly to help him digest better or to help calm his stomach and nerves?

Answer #1

my dog had the same problem… took him to the vet paid 350 to find out what the others are saying is true he has a sensitive stomach. The lining in a dogs stomach is different then ours so sometimes the fillers and artificial perservatives that are in the food they eat can cause a bad tummy ache then they eat the grass as a sort of doggie-castor oil.

Ditto to editor…He may have a sensitive tum…so slowly switching him to a higher quality dogfood, made for sensitive tummy’s may be the answer.

hi you can try new food for sensitive stomache and eat only once a day(I mean the dog)

Answer #4

Can I ask what food you are feeding him? It can make a big difference in digestion.
