Urine samples at the Doctor

You know how when you go to the doctors office they have to take a urine sample? Well if you are having your period when you go, will wearing a tampon prevent blood from going into the sample?

there will most likely be a trace of blood. The doctor will ask if you’re on your period, to rule out a urinary tract infection. No worries, it’s very routine and common.

I hate peeing in a cup at the doctors especially when I have my period, you can always defer it say that you don’t want to because you have your period or something and they wont make you, the only reason they want you to do it is mainly to see if you have a uti and you would know if you did so they arent even that necessary

its hard to say a bit of blood will most likely end up in it but just tell your doctor that you have your period that way he doesnt think there might be something wrong!

it sucks when I have to pee in a cup. ifeel I might miss or something

theres a good chance the tampon will help there is still a chance that blood will get it in
