I do somewhat. I think we are destined for something. We just figure it out later.

Well there’s a difference between fate and destiny. Fate is something that will happen no matter what you do. Edipus story for example. Destiny is the path we are on. It can be changed or even ignored.

I never believed in fate. It takes out free will, then what’s the point.

I use to believe in destiny. That we are here for a reason and all that, but now I don’t. I think we make things happen in our lives. I don’t believe in a supernatural plain for us. We create our own destinies. We are responsible for our own futures. Some have it harder than others or face greater odds but to say it was destiny or fate they did whatever they did cuts out all the hard work they did to get there. What about all that fail. Is it their fate or destiny to fail? I don’t think so. Opportunities are often on a right place right time bases. But ultimately its up to each of us.

No I do not. Fate means that you can’t change what happens - it was going to happen no matter what.

You make your own life and it changes along with the decisions that you make and the things that you go through. There is no “set” life that you are going live.

As a final result or consequence; an outcome of an action, yes. Otherwise, no. An example: You jump off of a ten-story building and make a big splat on the sidewalk. That is fate.

As to destiny, that is something that is a result of the choices we make, consciously or subconsciously.

I think I do for the big picture or end result, but how you get there you can choose!
