It degrades a person when another screams out “faggot” or “pig” It’s dentrimental to self-esteem and that makes a teen suicidal or depressed. It’s difficult during the teen years to adjust to your growing body, your deeper voice, your sexuality so having insults spat you is hard to deal with. Hope I helped.
Discrimination based on race, sex, sexuality, etc has TONS of impact on peoples lives today still. It affects peoples careers, the jobs they can get, their salary, how far they advance in a company, etc. It affects their living arrangements and where they can find a home when landlords discriminate. It affects their personal lives when people discriminate and use stereotypes to judge others. It affects their children when other children in school discriminate against them….and the list goes on. Sadly discrimination against race and sexuality is still a huge problem that affects all parts of peoples lives.
People always seem to leave out the discrimination of overweight people. Fat people get teased and it can really can destroy self esteem.
