Can you tell the difference between an American and a Canadian?

I sure can’t. The only way to tell is through conversation and how certain “things” may be different in the two countries. I think all of us are basically the same deep down regardless of nationality.

And accents are super cool. Everyone has one to someone else from somewhere else. It makes it interesting and fun.

For the most part NO…..exceptions now and then

I have been around a few Canadians since northern Ohio isn’t very far from the border, you can’t really tell any difference between the two.

I grew up on near the Canadian boarder and ended up with a mixture of mid-West and Canadian accents. People have thought I was Canadian almost as often as they thought I was from the states.

Not really. Canadians are pretty Americanized. OntoP of that while I live in Canada and am a Canadian I have never in my life heard a Canadian with that accent that Canadians are supposedly supposed to have all Canadians I have met speak the same as the Americans you see on tv.

Only if they war a badge with their flag on it. (But I’m not a native speaker of English. )
