Can a default brakelight ticket affect my record?

l got pulled over by the ops citing me for no brake lghts left and right sides. Also no plate light. He wrote $70 to pay or appeal within 20 days. Can this affect my driving record.thanks

Answer #1

do you mean affect your insurance - if that is your question - the answer is NO. otherwise, in my state, it probably would count as one and you are allowed no more than two per year going from the date of the first one.

Answer #2

I dont think it goes against your driveing record, but tell them you want to defer it and if you dont get another ticket in that city for three months it wont go on your record. but first find out if it will before you defer it. I dont think it does

Answer #3

Usually, yes, unless your state allows you to take traffic school or similar to remove the ticket. Check with your local DMV office to learn more.
