How old do you have to be to get a debit card? Like if you have the money to back it up, do you have to have a parent or gaudian to sign with you or for you? lije with a passbook?

Answer #1

Simply a Rose to brighten your day,         And maybe lessen the cares in your way;         And also, too, to help you to know,         That in knowing you, many others grow!

You have to be 18 or emancipated to enter into a contract, so I think you have to be 18 OR have a parent or guardian as a cosigner on the account.

Answer #2

Most of the time banks put your parents on the account because if something would happen to you then your money does not get lost.

As long as you have money to put into an account I believe you could get one. I had one when I was 16, but I also had a job.
