How can I deal with my period whilst camping and walking?

I have to go on a camping trip the end of this week and i still have my period, i am not sure if it will stop before then, but if it doesn’t i will need dome help! We will be walking the whole day and will most likely go in public toilets, but if i have to go in a bush, how willl i change my tampon/pad? and what is best to wear and get rid of discretely? Thank you to whoever answers this and if your have been in the same situation - please help me!!!!!! :D

I go hiking often so have been through this before.

Firstly use a tampon, it’s going to be a lot easier to dispose of then a pad and a lot more comfortable for you with less worry of leakage, plus if you only have to use the bushes and not change it won’t be a bloody mess (sorry for the visual). What you do is take a small ziplock bag and put the tampons in there (you don’t want to mess up the environment). You can even put to ziplock bags over one another to make sure that it doesn’t leak or anything. Hide the bag in your backpack that you will be carrying. Also when using the bushes always make sure you have someone watching out for you….you don’t want anyone walking up on you.
