What happens if you miss a day of birth control?

a few weeks ago when i was supposed to start a new month of birth control i had to start late because we couldnt get my perscription on time so is that bad?

The general rule is: 1. If you miss one day, take the pill as soon as you remember, if you have been taking the pills as you should skipping one day (please note that this should be a RARE occurence and not frequent) won’t really affect the pills effectiveness 2. If you skip two days, take two pills as soon as you remember, it should have the same effect as one, but with this you have to use extra protection for the next week such as condoms. 3. If you skip 3 days or more you have to ask your doctor or nurse what to do, as this is a bit of a problem.

So starting late isn’t a problem. Especially not if it is one day.

my cousin missed one day and ended up getting pregnant, i think they are effected by change easily. if you miss it and only notice the next day dont take two to make up for it it does not make any difference.
