Should I take the first step and ask him if he likes me?

Well there’s this guy who I have known for about a year now and at first we didn’t really talk. But then we started flirting together A LOT! Anyways, we go to the same church and we went on a mission trip to Wyoming together. We flirted a lot then to. His best friend was also there and he told me that he asked this friend who he liked and he said that it was me. We rode together on the way back from W.Y and he would lean his seat on my legs and and touch my face. We also kinda held hands to. + everyone of my friends said he liked/ likes me, some of them are even jealous. Now it’s been about 2 months since we went to W.Y and he still looks at me, and we connect eyes. He also talks to me and teases to. But it’s not as much as it was. Also there is this new girl at my church and she is somewhat pretty and he seems to kinda like her but he hasn’t done any of the stuff he did with me, like flirting. And we just met her today and seen her once. I know that I may be over reacting but should I take the first step and ask him if he likes me still, or ever. Or should I just wait for something that may not happen. But I really do like him, do you think he still likes or ever liked me.
