I believe so. Maybe not to pre-teens and teens, as most of them are more into pop, hip-hop, rap, metal, etc… but I think the majority of adults like country music.

Answer #6

I believe that it is, and probably the most popular. I think country is more real, and with lyrics that are sincere, and tell the story of life. In Rap, hard Rock, you don’t have this kind of outcome or type of fulfillment listening to these aggravating, yelling songs. Especially if you can not even understand the words when they are saying them so fast like rap and portraying the song in a negative way.

Answer #7

Most people think, however that Rap and HipHop are the most popular because the people that listen to it tend to blare it loud enough for everyone outside their cars and homes can hear :)

Answer #8

Most everyone I know while they listen to all flavors of music, love country. I listen to everything, but if I was to relax or dance, I prefer country.

Answer #9

Relax yeah country.. I can’t dance..so I just listen and enjoy the music

Answer #10

I think the statistic could be off because most of the listeners of music you can understand are not kids, and are not filling out statistics on the web or publishing there taste all over the place.

Answer #11

Me and my wife love to dance, but it takes practice not to look silly on the dance floor.

Answer #12

That statistic was from age 16 and up. It was posted on the AMA’s November of 2010. No statistic is dead on accurate but with a gap as big as 24.7 to 11.2, it answers Chris’ question :)

Answer #13

I need lots either lots of practice or lots of alcohol to dance..lol

Answer #14

True but I don’t know how much you have played with statistics but in a college project we where able to get this great of a offset easily. Have you not seen the studies on TV, in this double blind study.

Answer #15

I don’t think alcohol actually helps, but it can make you feel like you are doing good. :)

Answer #16

no, its probably the least popular
