I was listening to Taylor Swift today. What classifes her music as country? I love Taylor Swift, btw (: Or like Trace Adkins. What classifies it as country?
I think is that on some of their slower songs you get the traditional country sound. I must say country music has definitely changed. Especially with the addition of pop and rock and roll embedded in the sound. My band for example we are a hard rock christian band but we have some slower songs that would fall under country rock. Pure country is the twin fiddles and steel guitars ( George Strait song about the heartland). I hope I didnt ramble on. I hope I helped. :)
Real Country music has steel guitars and fiddles. Taylor Swift is not even close to country. These days the only ones doing country are Alan Jackson, Geroge Strait, Joe Nichols, Lee Ann Womack. The answer to your question is hard for me to explain, its just a sound to the music and today there are very few doing what I would call country music.
not really slower but what they sound like and what hte songs are bout.
You know I never thought of that, good question though.
It used to be a 3/4 beat. A swing beat.
