  Cough lollies the stronger ones like soothers will ge rid of it or you coul try hot/warm soup (chicken noodle) or tea (pepermint is strongest) basically what warm things do is sooth the throat so they make you stop coughing and make you feel better faster you can also combine them have cough lollies and warm things.

  that happened to me and it could be like this bronchitus stuff and you take advair (the commercial with the purple thing) for a little while and it goes away. although, it is a persription thing but your doctor may give you a sample one
