My advice to you is to you is to have a little more faith. Pray about this situation. Spend more time interacting with God instead of trying to fix your own problem, LET GO AND LET GOD…everything is possible in him. Believe that.

Start a yard work business. No-one checks references for something like that.

Nobody needs to tell an x-felon what the potential job market is like for them. Flat out, it sucks. But, it “is” getting better in more recent years.

I have been aware for some time that there have been some x-felons who after being released and could not find work… actually created their own job of helping future x-felons find employment. Now, I understand that there are many such places in existence out there. If you turn your lemons into lemonade, you may very well find employment out there “because” of being an x-felon… not “in spite” of it.

Here are a few quick places that you might want to begin with. Also, it never hurts to ask the people that you find on sites like this “who else” they know of that is doing something to help x-felons seek employment.

… there are many more if you do a simple internet search for them.

Good Luck !

when were you released? You are currently in possession of the CDL & have no traffic violations that would hold you back from obtaining a driving job? If you are currently on probation, that would be an obstacle, not being able to drive over state lines, etc. One piece of advice I’d give is perhaps it would be a good idea to leave FL behind and move to a state with a better job outlook, but if you are on probation, forget about it.Leaving FL would be violating. My best advice would be to forget about the big national companies that are bound to bust your chops about background checks. Stick with small local businesses, where the owner/manager/hiring person is down-to-earth. Feel out the guy (not literally, of course, you know what I mean,) & you can downplay your crime & pick & choose what to tell him, if anything at all. It’s best not to lie on applications. Have you looked into getting your record expunged? I’s probably worth it. Or what a couple of guys I know here in New England did was go to the unemployment office- you can probably do it online these days- & tell them your situation & they will hook you up with “felon-friendly” employers. Good luck.
