Christian's Heaven Question

One of the many things that bother me about the Christian religion specifically, and please, tell me if I have one of my interpretations wrong because I am always up for bettering my understandings of anything.

God created everything. Because good exists, evil exists. I don’t know whether or not God “created” good and evil, or if they are man-made concepts, or some combination (in the religion, I mean; I don’t want to come off agnostic, just trying not to be rude), so because good cannot exist without evil, how can their be a place of eternal and supreme happiness and good if there is no evil present there?

Answer #1

All things created by God is good.

So… you’ve never read [Isaiah 45:7] either, huh?

Answer #2

because the opposite is hell. point blank.

Answer #3

The truth is that God did not create evil. Evil came out of the mind of Satan and through him it came to man.

…and God created Satan, so God created evil. Just as God punished all mankind, for the sins of Adam & Eve, and would also curse families for several generations, for the sins of ONE individual.

Its people like you who mislead the ones who are new to the Bible.

…its people like YOU, who mislead people, by claiming a verse a simple and clear as “Isaiah 45:7’’ …doesn’t mean EXACTLY what it says.

Then word evil there means totally something else.

…prove it…

Answer #4

uhm I am a Christian and I wont be using verses to back up my arguement because well I wont be needing the verses.

But anyways God is perfect and he created good. However he had also created the tree of knowledge and did not want Adam and Eve to eat of it. However he had known all along tha they were going to. Satan was a creation of God’s and he had fallen because he had his own free will. Thus the creation of evil. God knew all of this was going to happen and possibly made sure even though they all had free will.

It’s a super hard concept to grasp but I sort of understand. We went over this in Bible class a few years ago and I don’t remember it all soo clearly. But there are other things that I do remember that don’t have anything to do with this. Like foresight election and corporate election and individual election. But those are for theologian terms.

Answer #5

God created everything. Because good exists, evil exists. I don’t know whether or not God “created” good and evil

According to the Bible, he DID create evil… [Isaiah 45:7]

Answer #6

“I had a friend who was tremendously great but was atheist. You must give your life to christ.”

What a joke.

Answer #7

You can’t have free will if everything that you will do is allready predicted. It’s quiet contradicting to say that god knew what would happen with certain individuals, and yet claim they had free will. and god has nothing to do with it.

Answer #8

According to the Bible, God’s word, good will absolutely exist in the future without evil - at judgement day, All evil, Satan and those whose names are not found in the book of life are destroyed - cast into the lake of fire - evil, no more:

Rev 20:10 And the >> devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone > whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. <<

Only those that are saved have their name recorded in the ‘book of life’…Hope this helps !!

Answer #9

All things created by God is good. But remember you have the devil interferring as well. Jesus died for us and our sins. we were given a choice in life to serve him or the devil. Also dont be fooled into good people, bad people, that kind of thing. There are people out here that are good that dont cause trouble and live their life accordingly. But…they havnt given their life to christ. I had a friend who was tremendously great but was atheist. You must give your life to christ. For ones who denies him, will be denied on judgement day. We have to know him, help spread his word of love to win as many souls as possible. Then you have bad people that can do some of the worst things you can imagine. but how we should look at things, are… everyone sins and in gods eyes he doesnt hold any sin higher than the other. No matter what you do if you were to turn your life around and give yourself to christ he will forgive you. Sure we as humans have certain things we hold up one higher than the other, but who are we to judge someone unless we want to be juged ourselves. Like for example I know everyone knows about the story with casey and caylee anthony, what she did was a terrible thing and no one can ever imagine why she did what she did. But God watches everything and everyone. in the end he will be the one to judge and decide your fate for everlasting life. And the ones who didnt accept Jesus into their life and repent will be cast into hell. And your best resourse is the bible. One thing I love about my bible is that the letters are huge and its worded to be comprehended more easily. Also to, christians arent perfect either and God doesnt expect you to be, but when you show faith in him, he will give you strength everyday to move foward.

Answer #10

Reb;deep down inside, you already know the answer to what you have asked !

Faith does not consist of knowledge, nor the insistance that one knows something,in the absence of evidence. Christian’s claim to have both knowledge and faith as to the resurection of Jesus and other bibical teaching.I would argue that faith is unnesacary in the event of knowledge.Interestingly enough, the bible states that it is impossible to please God without faith.Perhaps faith then is the willingness to live and love, even in the face of doubt and an absence of knowledge.

Answer #11

It doesn’t matter if hell does exist or not. From what I’ve been told good cannot exist without evil and evil cannot exist without good, yet now there are two places that don’t follow that rule. It just doesn’t make sense to me.

Answer #12

bou, just because God knows the choices that we will make doesn’t mean that he makes them for us. this may be a silly example, but alice in twilight sees the future but doesn’t MAKE the things she sees happen. hope this helps! ^_^

Answer #13

I guess you could think of it as a spectrum or sorts. Heaven and Hell on opposite ends, and Earth being in the middle… there’s a balance of energy… or power… similar to the yin and yang…

Though, the yin and yang represent INTERNAL energy within each person. Heaven and Hell could be interpreted in a similar fashion, only they are depicted as PLACES that exist outside of physical or tangible reality.

Answer #14

“just because God knows the choices that we will make doesn’t mean that he makes them for us.” Actually, it kind of does. It’s like, if I created you a second later, or under different circumstances, you would not be evil, and yet, I create you KNOWING(Note that god is supposedly ALL-KNOWING, so he allready KNOWS EVERYTHING that will happen, no matter how the events will turn up) that you WILL become “evil” later.

“alice in twilight sees the future but doesn’t MAKE the things she sees happen” … I wonder if you understand what you are saying… If god’s “all-knowingness” works that way, then he is not “all-knowing”. I hope this made sence T_T
