Me and my ex-wife have two kids.I have custody of our son and she has custody of our daughter. I get our daughter every other weekend and she gets our son every other weekend.Dropping my son off to the man she lives with I open his car door to see my daughter.The entire car smelled like weed.As I put her back in there was a joint put uot he had just got through smoking.I took my kids out of the car and went and filed a police report.I contacted DHR as well. Is there any advice on what else I can do.
Dear jamiecullars, You did the exact correct thing. Do not return the children to that home, if you do then it will show that you had little regard for the children’s safety and your position will be compromised on this. You reported this to children’s services and they will investigate it. The key is not to return the children to that home no matter what. Sue…good luck
